Systems Mapping
Spring School

systems mapping training course class
Learn systems mapping together with a peer group of changemakers.

Learn through a combination of self study, individual and group exercises and live discussion and feedback sessions. We will use Miro as the main tool, so you have everything in one place.

Each participant will work on their own map, but we will go through the process together. This provides us with many different examples to discuss and learn from.

Deeply understand the system your challenge has emerged from, learn how to use systems maps to communicate these insights to others and build strong cooperative relationships with the actors in your system.

This systems mapping course is designed for anyone with the ambition to facilitate systems change, no matter your background or where you work.

Over the course of five weeks, we come together once a week online for 2.5 hours to walk through the systems mapping process and discuss what is important to keep in mind for each step.

Between sessions, you will practice what you have learned based on your own challenge question, which we will formulate together in the first session. In order to get the most out of this course, make sure you reserve some time each week to practice, at least two hours.

I recommend choosing a challenge question that closely relates to your work or ambitions, to make it as "real" and practical as possible and so that the time you invest in learning simultaneously brings you valuable insights relevant to your work.

To have enough space for individual questions, the course is limited to a maximum of 15 participants.

I do not promise that you will feel completely confident to carry out your own systems mapping project after this course. It takes practice to gain that confidence. To support you while practicing, the course includes 90 minutes of personal feedback on any stage of a systems mapping project that you are working on within one year of finishing the course.

Session dates:

Every Tuesday in April - 02.04, 09.04, 16.04, 23.04, 30.04

If you can't make it to one of the sessions, you will get access to a recording. If you already know there is more than one session that you can't attend, please let me know and I will put you on the waitlist for the next edition of the course.
